High-Visibility Forum Theme?

Postby superdave » Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:44 am

I have a lot of trouble reading text with the new forum theme. The gray text on the dark background just makes my eyes go nuts and I end up highlighting everything to read it. Would it be possible to create a more contrasting theme?

lol I actually prefer the new theme over the dark-on-white, if only because I spend all day at work reading black text on white backgrounds and need a change.

That said...what aboout...like, a dark red on light gray? Like the Classic Space colors?

I don't really think dark red would be a great choice, maybe black text on light gray?

I agree that some text is hard to read. I'm working on tweaking the colors.

Just make the grey text white, that should help.

I keep highlighting everything to read posts too.

Borgador has the right idea. Make the text white. Would feel a bit like the old forum that way, too.

If you work with IE8/9 you could use the compatibility view; it minimises the transparant background. :)

Wow, I just saw the site in Internet Exploder, and now I understand the problem. It looks very different in Firefox. I'll see what I can do about it.

Here's hoping you get it fixed in a jiffy! It gets a bit tiring on the eyes after a while in the current form.

I think I fixed it. Let me know if it's still hard to read.
