Should we have messages ranks and groups?

Should we have message ranks,I mean like at RoLUG,the Romanian Lug.and by that I mean:
0-20 messages:Spechless
20-100:Speaker
200-300:Big-Mouth
300-600:Parrot
600-1000:Talk Show
1000-up:Biggest mouth in the Galaxy.

And Groups:KFOLS,TFOLS and AFOLS.

Personlly, I hate groups. I feel they add nothing worthwhile to a forum.

I like message ranks, though I have found that those can be cause for many people to post needlessly.

The LEGO messageboards have a rank system based only on no. of posts, which is what I think toni is referring to.

Another forum I used to frequent uses a reputation system instead, where other users can give "reputation" to good posts (or "bad rep" for really awful posts), and your ranking is based on your reputation. This would certainly address the Admiral's concerns.

I personally wouldn't mind message ranks but groups I would not want, but thats just my opinion.
