I know my forays into SPACE wouldn't have been possible without Dan Jezek's site Bricklink.

Does anyone know anything about his recent passing?
Another sad and tragic AFOl death.

It's the first I've heard. I know I owe him a debt of gratitude as well, as Bricklink is indispensable when I get on a new project.

Yeah, I wish his family the best. When you make a list of contributors to the lego community.... I mean, by sheer volume, he might be first! Who hasn't he helped?
