Go ahead and register because we won't be saving the old database. This is a fresh reboot. If there's any information that just absolutely needs to be saved I can do that, but I have to manually pull it from the database so that will be on a as-needed basis.

Glad to see the forum is back! I know I'm not the only one dying to know what is going on with the "Put Your Brick With Your Mouth Is" contest, so it'd be nice to see that thread come back if possible.

As it happens, I'm a blithering idiot who can't remember his own email address, so if you look in the user database you'll find a Jake. That's me, but I can't access the account since I gave it an email address that doesn't actually exist.

What happened to the old classic-space site. Why do you setup a new one dropping all the old postings? Hacker attack ??

Mike: Yeah, there was a hacker attack. The old CS ran on outdated software, which made it easy prey. The old board's database structure isn't the same as the database for this software, so it would take a fair bit of time to import all of the old data. SteveR, Dan and the rest are working on bringing as much as possible of the old forum back. In the meantime we'll build a new community on this platform

Or is it dead and buried with everything from the former site ?
