Alrighty
Here's what I've got so far. Per suggestions I'm starting on the original Lego Space factions rather than the user-made ones. I'm trying to follow the standard template, and am working on making a formula for entering the information.
Let me know what you think. I'll post more as I get through them. Some are difficult because of a lack of official information (or even speculative information) about them (why does no one care what the name of the Unitron homeworld is?).
The Space Police
Primary Colors: White (rare), Black, Blue, Gray
Highlight Colors: Black, Red
Details: Red (windshields), Orange, Green (windshields)
Style: Swept, angular, militaristic, harsh, jagged
Personality: Noble, serious, lawful, purposeful, dedicated
Leader:
Other Important Figures:
Homeworld: Previously Earth, currently a moon
Other worlds: A desert world
Mothership: The Mission Commander
Description: An intergalactic police force dedicated to fighting space-crime wherever it’s found, the Space Police are defenders of truth and justice in the galaxy, frequently helping the other good factions against the attacks or thefts of the likes of rebel groups, gangs, thieves, and spies. Once hailing from Earth, the Space Police left after a cataclysmic event destroyed most of the breathable atmosphere. They have now taken to living in space, and have several outposts and bases both on civilized worlds like Commercia and on rocky moons…wherever the criminal threat is greatest. Some of their most well-known escapades include stopping the Spyrius takeover of M:tron, getting stuck in the ice like idiots on Krysto, and saving the legendary Memorial To the Classic Space Man from the clutches of Kranx and his gang.
M:Tron
Primary Colors: Red, Black (rare), Blue
Highlight Colors: Gray, Blue, Black,
Details: Red, Neon-green (windshields), White
Style: Blocky, functional, utilitarian, constructive, brutish, jagged, dirty
Personality: Curious, obsessive, focused, industrious, nomadic, peaceful
Leader:
Other Important Figures:
Homeworld: Unknown
Other worlds: An asteroid
Mothership: Stellar Recon Voyager
Description: A peaceful if somewhat materialistic group, M:Tron is actually a corporate body rather than a race. The group works to mine precious metals and crystals for energy and resale, providing some of the best mining services in the galaxy, despite the competition of their fierce rivals, the Rock Raiders. M:Tron is generally a pleasant and gentle group of workers, but if threatened will defend their claims without hesitation. Thankfully, Space Police forces are usually there to help.
Ice Planet 2002 (The Krystonians)
Primary Colors: White, Blue, Black
Highlight Colors: Orange, Gray, Black
Details: Neon (windshields), Black (mechanics)
Style: Tubular, domed, jagged, functional, harsh, articulated
Personality: Stubborn, driven, merciful, inventive
Leader: Commander Cold
Other Important Figures:
Homeworld: Krysto
Other worlds: An asteroid
Mothership: Deep Freeze Defender
Description: A group of intrepid scientists, the Krystonians were originally sent to the ice plant Krysto in order to study the effects of extreme cold on high-tech military and civilian satellites and rockets. Over time their mission became one of invention, developing some of the most sophisticated rockets and missiles for the advanced factions. Eventually, however, the backwards nature of their planet and their hidden out-of-the-way nature led them to either abandon or forget their mission. They expanded across the planet as they could but generally live just for subsistence now.
Spyrius
Primary Colors: Red, Black
Highlight Colors: Blue (windshields), Black
Details: Neon Green (mechanics), Blue (lights)
Style: Technological, weaponized, stealthy, rounded, vaned
Personality: Driven, ruthless, innovative, focused, sneaky, thieving
Leader:
Other Important Figures:
Homeworld: Spyrius
Other worlds: Other moons, asteroids
Mothership: Saucer Centurion
Description: A brash and crafty group, Spyrius (actually just a group of mutants and cyborgs living on the planet Spyrius) acts for purely selfish purposes. Their goal is to steal the most advanced weapons and communications technology available and resell it to the highest (and usually the most dangerous) bidder. Unlike the more covert espionage operations of Blacktron, however, Spyrius works openly to accomplish their goals, and is willing to resort to outright violence in order to get the technology or information they need: several attacks of theirs are well-documents, including an attack on a notable M:Tron mining operation on an asteroid colony and the hijacking of several Unitron military vehicles from an under-defended convoy.
The Exploriens
Primary Colors: White, Blue (rare)
Highlight Colors: Neon Green, Black
Details: Blue (windshields), Green, Gray (mechanics), Red (mechanics)
Style: Delicate, scientific, sleek, optimized, spiky, angular
Personality: Intelligent, reserved, focused, peaceful
Leader:
Other Important Figures: Ann Droid
Homeworld: A moon/Pluto
Other worlds: Holox, Mondo II
Mothership: Explorien Starship
Description: One of the foremost exploration agencies, the Exploriens live entirely in space, and it is unknown if they have a true ‘homeworld’ or simply set-up base wherever the best fossils and artifacts are. For years the Exploriens have used their hi-tech sensors and analytic tools to study alien artifacts and fossils. It is commonly believed that they knew of the impending invasion of The Aliens (Alien Conquest) and the Insectoids and yet did nothing to forewarn anyone. Instead they huddle inside their scientific laboratories, calculating and impassive, searching for secret knowledge and understanding.
Roboforce
Primary Colors: Black, Light Gray
Highlight Colors: Neon Orange, Neon Green
Details: Neon Green (windshields, mechanics), Neon Orange (windshields, mechanics)
Style: Mechanized, anthropomorphized, militaristic, harsh, sharp, walking
Personality: Heroic, brave, intelligent, secretive, powerful
Leader:
Other Important Figures:
Homeworld: Roboton
Other worlds: Silicon moon
Mothership: Robo Master
Description: A secretive organization of peacekeepers, the Roboforce may or may not be a specialist branch of the Space Police. From their base planet of Roboton, the Roboforce works throughout the galaxy to uphold peace and justice on missions that would be too dangerous or far-flung for the Space Police to take them on. However, secretly the Roboforce is also looking for a power-source known as Robo-disks, humorously called “the great paradox” by their Space Police comrades who laugh at how the disks are actually rectangular. Roboforce is few in numbers but uses powerful stealth and weapon technology to fight the monsters, aliens, and deviants they encounter.
Also, what do you guys think: I'm not sure whether to include the off-shoot semi-sci-fi stuff: Rock Raiders, Power Miners, Exo-Force, or Aquazone. ????
