And is there a star in range to get power from all the time?

Don't forget solar sails (which I guess do run into power problems occasionally) and those Star Wars EU villains, the Yuuzhan Vong. They use an organic means of generating gravity waves.

HAhah yes, the 4.5v almost forgot that one!

Yea the whole solar sail thing got popular again with that one count dooka or whatever his name is in episode II. And that shows you much of a fan I was of the three newer episodes, haha

Well I am not one to brag as that is a bad thing, but I will give my background:
Roleplayed star wars both table top and online in chatrooms since 1994, Dungeons and Dragons since 1998, Heavy Gear since 1998, Larp since 2000, play many videos games and collected lego since I was old enough to have them (85).
Wrote for some games and a few short story in the genre of scifi,
I also backpack and practice a few different martial arts with one working on my brown belt.
Have many copies of star wars on vhs, dvd, etc.

Does this count? lol. :p

I have a rough draft of a 400 page sci-fi novel sitting on the computer that I built, but I haven't had time to work on it because I'm too busy at work as a software engineer. I have two other computers, and one of them is water cooled. I have the Jayne hat from Firefly, and I intend to wear it to work on Halloween. I have drawers full of resistors and integrated circuits in my apartment, which I've used to build many devices including a digital clock and a microcomputer. I have my master's degree in computer science. Once I accidentally blew up a power supply on my parents' kitchen table. I have an entire closet full of Legos, in addition to a 5 foot long spaceship that lives at my parents' house because I have nowhere to put it. Et cetera* :csmini:

* commonly abbreviated etc by the less geeky

Tylium? I just wiki'ed it, not bad. Kinda cool. I love BS but haven't watched the new series as much as the old.
I still prefer Hydrogen slush or Helium-3 to fuel my spacecraft. But of course, the Fusion tube can burn anything that combustable/flammable. That is, taking it from Heavy Gear.

Does anyone here think ISD's should be slow due to their shear size (say under 20 MGLT for star wars and the wookie states 1 MGLT = 1 meter per sec), or faster say like the Falcon as portrayed in Empire Strike Backs? Granted the falcon could have been not at top speed and the ISD could have been diverting power to engines. I'd have to dig into my books to get exact speeds later, but any thoughts? it has been a debate off and on in the roleplaying part of things. Since we are on a scifi rant.
