MOC: Aeronaut

Don't know if it's permitted to post any non-space moc's... But my apologies in advance.
I really wanted to make something 'steamy' for a while now, but didn't want to stick to the obvious color scheme.
So ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... I present to you;

Aeronaut. A personal air levitation transport automaton device. :p

Aeronaut; a hoverboard inspired by 'Around The World In 80 Days'.
FlickR Gallery, also a Put Your Brick Where Your Mouth is TWO contest entry.
Comments and critisiscm welcome.

Cool, I love steampunk. You could just say it's cyberpunk - steam in space!

Thanks. :) Cyberpunk isn't Steampunk in space... it's a totally different genre.

Well, it fits the bill as "Sci-Fi", which is the criteria for the "Put Your Brick Where Your Mouth Is" contest... and it also gives good ideas for Space MOC's, so I say yes. Anyway another great one. I really like the lantern up front (or I assume that's what it is)... guess I'll check that out on flickr.

True, true. It would make a hard contest entry though; many custom pieces involved...

Image (10x) Hinge part cut off.
Image (1x) Bar shortened and cutt.
Image (2x) Bar cut off.
Image (1x) Only used the disc.
Image (3x) Handlebar cut off.
Image (1x) Brick part cut off.
Image (3x) Cut in half, used both pieces: one for the valves, the other for covering bars attached to the gears.
Image (3x) Only used the steering wheel.

But I'll give it a shot! :D Thanks, you go it right mate! :)
