Freighter SHIP WIP

I apologize for the bad lighting and background, these were taken from my ipod

Anyway, this is a relatively small (in terms of the SHIPs
I've seen around) SHIP that I have been working on the
last few weeks. I JUST finished a 3000 word paper (+twelve
end notes, three page outline, bibliography, speech
presentation and a small school fair booth) and I have all
of spring break, so I should be able to make progress on it.
The parts I am having trouble with are the transition between the
middle section and the forward part, the very front, the bridge
viewports and plating the very back. The first pic is not the most
updated form of the SHIP, as I have now began reinforcing the connection
between the middle and front, and have begun to add interior walls.
The bridge has an airlock on the rear that allows a small shuttle to
attach. The lower part (underneath) of the middle section will include
four one-person escape pods (two on each side.) Help with the interior,
landing gear, and greebling are also appreciated.

EDIT: If you're wondering what the battery cases represent, they are
supposed to be the ship's power cells. Help with filling in the small gap
on the middle between the frame and the plating would be great.

I had a disaster! I tripped over it in the middle of the night!
(I knew I should have put it on a table) Luckily, I can
fix the damage pretty easily, so it's not a big problem.
The way it happened is kind of a funny story actually, I was mostly asleep when
I tripped over it, so it was kind of like a dream. And I thought
It was exactly that until I woke up, and my ship was broken!

EDIT: I have decided to take this opportunity to majorly rework
the design and have stripped it down to this:

And I plan to make it more like this:

I know this will be much harder (considering my level of skill) but I want to at
least make a lookalike, probably much smaller than the one in the picture.

I like the remake! Especially the angled back.
For following that render, Ill be very insterested to see how you do the pod engines in the back. Those are some crazy angles!

UPDATE: I have now made a sizable bricklink order of about a hundred each of these and these in light bley as well as about 150+ other miscellaneous (yet helpful) pieces. Again, (virtual) design and building assistance is always welcome

Great. Sorry to here about your accident, although it is kinda funny that you thought it was a dream!

The ship is looking quite good! Can't wait to see the finished product.

New Update: I now have a table from IKEA and have begun to thoroughly sort my legos.
Also, my bricklink order has arrived (yay!) More pictures soon, and about the reference
image, I am only BASING my ship on it, I do not plan to make an exact replica so don't
get your hopes up. I'm also still debating to make it truly SHIP sized, as it is currently
only about seventy studs long. It also has two smuggling compartments which use a hatch
piece covered by easily removable plates.
