I was wondering, if you might even want to do a comic in the Republic v. Sith Empire era, i.e. the earlier one (not the official name to the era, I know, but the one with the up-and-coming MMO) if not, you have my vote for New Republic era.

I agree with Ninja_bait that it is more important to determine what type of comic you are going to do first. If you are going to do a humorous comic, then using familiar Star Wars characters might be adventageous. If you are planing a comic with more plot development and story-lines, I think you'd want non-canon characters, so Old Republic.

You mean the new MMO titled "Star Wars: Old Republic"?
The Republic vs. Sith era and the Old Republic era are very similar. So is that a vote for Old Republic, where the Jedi greatly out-number sith, or a vote for Republic vs Sith, where the Republic is facing the death of democracy and the Empire is facing an uprising?
