Anyway, having a front page blog might lead to less people realizing there's a forum behind it.

That's why we have it as one of the tabs instead of the front page. It might get more people on the site!

I honestly do not like the idea of a Blog as part of a Forum. I also believe it is unneeded. Classic Castle, as an example, Has no blog, and it is a thriving community. Also, a blog requiress someone to update at a relativly constant basis, and a lot of people can't do that for a long time. As for the "getting more people" I doubt it will get very many more. The people will come. Patience is just needed. And constant vigliance.

Simply put, I think it is a silly idea.

Oooh ooh! Well, if not a blog, (and I understand where le Fanu's coming from), what if we just had a daily news feed? Or weekly even? Some sort of event tracker to show people visiting the site (still need a new front page, btw.)
