Lego Space Movie

Postby bigsexy » Sat Jul 16, 2011 3:12 am

Hey everyone I've been a huge fan of Lego especially the space sets since I was a little kid. Right now I'm working towards making a Lego Space Movie. Its still in the beginning stages but heres a link if anyones interested in what I've done so far. I use alot of the older classic space sets but have also had to include some figures from the newer space police series as well.

Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated :) :space:

The animation is a little slow, and the lighting could be more consistant. However, it's otherwise pretty good and I'd like to see more.

They walk a little slowly, and the animation is slow. But great Brickfilm!

I liked it. Like a few others said the lightning is suffereing from the flickers and much as my vids have.
But I don't mind the slower walk, I have noticed a lot of films (including some of my clips) where the lego minifig is always moving fast. I always wondered if anyone else would produce something with a slower walk feel. We all can't be running.
Good stuff, keep it up!

What is your frame rate? I'd like to know for my own films.

Only 10 fps right now but I am trying to find a new programme to get up to 15 fps so the videos will be faster.

What program are you using? Personally, I use Window Movie Maker. It isn't made for Stop Motion, but it's the only thing in my budget. (it's free!)

Mac or PC?

If you've got Mac, I strongly suggest using iStopMotion.

Istopmotion is awesome,
But I have used a program called adv animator or somewhere around there, unforntatly I can't remember the name since its on my computer (other computer) being repaired. When I get it back I will post it. It is an excellent program and I think it was freeware. Brickfilms.com will help you out as well. And audacity is perfect for sounds and it is free as well.
