More pictures

Here is a fore picture of all three main fore laser cannons extended...this might give a bit away for a bigger view but ah whatever. some of you commented liking the idea. It still needs work, but its pretty good.
This is an older picture...the framing above the lasers are better constructed. Enjoy!

So my camera is a pain sometimes...but this is a cargo/ammo storage room between the VTOL Bay and crew quarters. There is a crane with a magnet for transfering cargo from the main hanger to this cargo spot. Still in development. But you get the idea. I used floss for the string. Floss is a good test string.

I have some videos for the fore cannon playability, but should I post them as a right click and download link or how is the best way to post that? I don't want to post something huge all jacked up.. Thanks!

I did some work today, framing the walls of the VTOL hanger and cargo bay. I ran out of 1x12 red bricks...so another order needs to be placed. If and when I get hte videos up you will see it walled.

This is starting to look like a pirate ship, with what we can tell of shape, and all the secret cannons. But now there are magnets! :)

Ah thats a good idea, I didn't think about that.
But granted the ship does have a long base like a classic water bourne ship such as a pirate ship.
But its a multipurpose ship geared towards a carrier.
As the Bloodwake complement:
Two M-Tron Light Combat walkers (my design, moc)
Two Beacon Racers
One Astro Wrecker
One Vector Detector
One Pulsar Charger.

Cargo:
Up to twenty containers (2x2x2) estimated.
One repair container (e.g. the one off the mega core magntizer)
One storage container
Various supplies for repair of both the bloodwake and her complement of vehicles.

Crew:
stands at about twenty right now.

Conning Tower consists of:
Top level: Electronic warefare/observation, level 5
level 4 is the bridge
level 3 is security and captian quarters
level 2 is crew quarters, messhall, sickbay
level 1 is the main hull/hanger

The main hull has the hanger, main cargo bay, engineering, fore weapons and small arms
Level 2 stretches to include another cargo munitions bay, VOTL hanger, and soon to be built a second barracks and engineering section
A level above the fore weapons is more storage and weapons managment.

Weapons (as of now planned)
Three Heavy Pulse Laser Cannons on bow
One Heavy triple laser cannon turret on bow
Two medium range missile pods
Two light anti-infantry and anti-air mini guns
Two heavy long range missile launchers (the technic competition shooters)
Possible a few more short ranged laser cannons on the port and starboard side

May drop the triple one,
So far that's what I have planned out.
I have ran into a few problems, due to only planning this in my head and a rough sketch. Being my first SHIP, its turning out ok. It may look odd, as I am trying different ideas for practice in the future as I plan to continue to make ships like this. Maybe some destroyer class ships, etc.

Thanks!

I have been doing a good amount of work lately.
I will have the ship structurally done hopefully in a week. Then to add some details, greebles, weapons etc.

Here is a niffty item I made up tonight:
http://www.badlandsoftorkrestlarp.org/pics/bw/ams.jpg

It is a anti-missile system. It is designed to shoot down rockets and missiles, included is some canisters of chaff and aerosal spray to disfuse lasers to stop or at least reduce the amount of damage.

It protects the bridge and the conning tower. It rotates and has a fairly decent field of fire. I plan to add a few to the back and front of the ship as well.
Sadly, the rest of the pictures I took are to revealing, but soon enough !!

I am also designing modular units that fit both into the main hanger and secondary cargo bay.
I am going to make a recreation/workout room, a science lab, a command post and some sort of outpost barracks.
Should be fun.

While I have gotten Bloodwake to about 99% structurally complete (I say that because I may adjust something ) I am working on some details and cosmetic parts.
But here is another picture, this time a picture from behind a pilot who managed to run back to the ship after his walker was destroyed in a patrol mission.

http://www.badlandsoftorkrestlarp.org/pics/bw/DSCN1985.jpg

Anyhow, I will post some pictures that reveal the whole ship here soon, I want to retool the repulsorlift drives. I was looking at the pictures and decided my orignal size is too small compared to the ship itself.

I really like this picture as it gives you a view of what it might be if you were actually lego.

Again, C&C welcome, but please this is my first attempt and I have done many different things for testing and ideas for when I go to build another landship.
