Here's my first spacecraft for 2011...i know i'm late. It's a blacktron fighter. It was not intentional but I think the podracer in Star Wars episode I influenced the overall design.

Interesting design for a Blacktron fighter-- I like it.

The engines really stood out, but the way that they are connected is the best part in my opinion.

I also see a lot of the Naboo starfighter, too. The engine pods are great, but I just like the curves all around.

I think this would also make a great dieselpunk, if it had propellers and the right colors.

Nice build. Looks slick. I'm always biased towards "hammerhead" ship designs as well. I think it is because the engine/power comes first, and the rest of it comes along for the ride.

Offhand, I woud say the Naboo starfight served as inspiration moreso then the podracers, but they both have engines first, everything else second, as mentioned, so maybe it was Just SW EP1 in general that inspired you. Eitherway, not a bad thing.

If CIBt was cooperating, Iw oudl blog this right away. As it is, It will have to wait a bit.
