Forum-based space roleplay?

Hey, what do you guys think about starting up some sort of space roleplaying threads? I don't have a specific idea right now, but if there's a lot of interest, it would be worthwhile to set up something. It would be a good springboard for more building ideas, a fun thing to do here, and another appealing feature of our forum for newbies.

I was thinking along the lines of the Eurobricks Mafia games, but that could work, too!

Meh, I wasn't a huge fan of the mafia games.

We could also do non-space, something more similar to heroica that doesn't clog the forums up like heroica does.

I think I like the rules of Heroica as a good starting point. We'd have to develop a little further into things like space dogfighting, but this might work.

I think I'll start a draft sometime this week and post it.

I think we'll need more than just our two opinions. Let's advertise this somehow. PM some people, or let's give this post some time to get popular. Also, where would the suitable topics go? There could eventually be 100s of posts/quests/whatever you would call it in a space RPG game. So we must summon the mighty power of Blake.

I think this thing isn't really fleshed out enough for people to have an opinion yet. It would help to have a draft, imho.

Let's get some stuff going for this then, but we need to know who will all participate! It can't just be 2 or 3 of us, then it's not fun and gets boring. Hmm... Nobody ever reads the suggestion forum!

I dunno about the idea from EB (Only took a quick look, really) but I think an idea like this could easily be implimented. It is simple, has no rules (other then ones we would impose on each other, like no killing other people's characters), and is very fun. Biggest problem with these things is when people lose interest. I strongly caution against starting anthing like this unless you are fully comitted to spending a lot of effort at doing this Doing something like this can take months. (Just look at the dates on the posts on the link I have.)
