This is very nice. At first glance I thought that it was the official set. I guess not! The tubish parts that connect the 'wings' to the cockpit are a really nice touch. And I'm glad you nailed the color scheme like LEGO has failed to do so many times.

I think this TIE fighter is far better than TLG's. The SNOT construction is what sets it apart from other TIE's that have studs all over the sides. Yes, the side panels look a bit thicker than they ought to be, but I prefer that to having visible studs all over them. Even TLG's UCS TIE Interceptor, which I like a lot due to the size, has the studs problem.
