Righteousness and Eecri Rowien

Postby superdave » Wed Sep 01, 2010 2:56 pm

Built for a contest over at FBTB.net.

Righteousness: A small Corellian Engineering Corporation vessel, the Righteousness obviously derives many design characteristics from the larger YT series freighters. Its pilot, the bounty hunter Eechi Rowien, relies on the Righteousness' massive Koensayr shield generator for defense; the shield's power is tied directly to the main power plant, giving it priority over most other ship systems in a crisis. Computer-targeted, fire-linked dorsal and ventral blaster turrets give the ship some defensive firepower. The reinforced retractable landing gear permits hasty landings for difficult extractions.

Eecri Rowien: Pantoran bounty hunter motivated by a strong sense of justice, she travels the galaxy in pursuit of lawbreakers, criminals, and political agitators.

I'm glad that so many people posted their FBTB creations here, because I didn't know about this contest until I saw these entries!

This is a cool ship! I have a few minor quibbles, especially with the boxy drive section, but I dig the asymmetrical shape. Plus, working landing gear. Fancy!

The assemmetrical shape on this baby, like Alyosha mentioned, is what really takes the cake. Crazy cool work with the angles, curves and SNOT - you've used some really advanced techniques to achieve the shaping here.

If I were going to change anything, the first thing I'd do is probably remove the prisoner compartment; it just strikes me as an odd look. Maybe then you could even make the main cockpit rotate so the ship would move into different positions in flight; just a thought.

Nice work supadave.

I like this ship. I really like this ship. The asymmetry, coupled with an obvious Star Wars look to it, makes this a wonderful ship. The 'prong' especially is nice, and the technic is not one I see too often, but it works well!

You really captured the YT look very well!
