The comments about "The Forsaken" looking bloody, and Halloween just around the corner, also had me thinking of creating this as a "Space Vampire" starfighter. I also like having some "playability" in my ships, so I made the large hyperspace engine detachable for fighting in tighter quarters (as well as more stealthy operations).
(Space vampires also reminded me of one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes;"State of Decay".)
