Totally sympathize with you there: I got caught up with work and travel etc. and neglected my legos for almost a year and my online presence for even longer. I can almost imagine what some of the older AFOLs are talking about when they say that they found their childhood collections in storage and are building again.
Anyways, yeah I had most of my old projects on there and am now missing the potential self reflection. Plus all of the helpful building tips and construction/configuration discoveries people had made, I always liked visiting the spacewerks to see what way someone had discovered to attach pieces to make a rigid structure or SNOT or greebles or whatever... oh, well, we start again I guess.
I hope all of the old members I looked up to come back! (I can't even remember names though)

Steve was working on getting an archive of all the oldies but goodies... hopefully that didn't fall by the wayside. I loved looking through the old contest pages.

I've offered to help recover the old forum content before, and the offer is still open

I've pulled off greater feats of MySQL hacking in the past.

Myself, Blackice, and You, Blake, have all offered to help refurbish the old place. I think the delay is either due to a lot going on for the admins in real life, or an understandable reluctance of losing the "in-house" management vibe.

Understandable, it's just frustrating to see the old site vanish when I could recover it completely.

Once I wrote a script that automatically converted an entire vBulletin forum into a WordPress blog.

This new classic-space site could sure use ANY admins attention... with the spammer accounts popping up now, and the lack of apparent admin interest, the end seems near for this one too.
