Good to go on the back of my monitor. When using these keep in mind that there is a channel, small tabs, to slide the connector and light strip in the lock. My light strip was dome shaped so I had to cut the protective coating back some by splitting it from the strip under it and trimming the coating with a scissor to the first resistor to lock it. I did sacrifice one light on each run to get the most of the copper contacts. One thing to keep in mind, as long as your positive on the strips to the connectors match, on my run it was to the outside, the RGB does not matter. These are just a connector. My strip kit was from Amazon, and as you can see from the pic, my strip from input was +GRB.

I really appreciate the fact that it contains 10 L shape connectors, which is more than enough than I needed to complete a couple of DIY projects involving roughly 15m of LED strip. The fact that they come with separable connectors that attach to the L shaped PCB is incredibly useful for splicing together sections of strip if you happen to make a mistake, and they come with 20 of these connectors (2 for each L shaped PCB).

The connectors themselves are made of plastic and are actually fairly difficult to snap open, unless you have fairly strong nails. I see this as an added benefit, because once you slide the LED strip into the bracket/connector and snap it closed, it is VERY secure. Overall, I give these 5/5 stars for the price that they are currently at. ($6.99)

i found it rather difficult to get good connections. These are fine if you only need a few. but for me, i had a rather long project to do, involving many shelves, and many of these T connectors. Id find that somewhere along the line, i wasnt making a good connection, and it screwed with all the rest of the lights. Also, i found it incredibly irritating to try and open the clasps. I would up ripping all the connectors off and just doing a continuous loop of lights. it was under shelving, so no one can see it anyway…

Updating from a 5 to a 3. These don’t exactly match up with some LED strips. I can tell that a few connections aren’t making great contact because the coloring is off and changes after each connection. Some connections make the color change (bad contact) and other connections do not (good contact). If I put pressure on the connection (squeezing it closed) the individual strands will all sync up with the same color. I shouldn’t have to maintain constant pressure for there to be good connection.

The pins do not line up and seat well. The lights I bought worked fine when tested but after I cut and installed the L shaped 4 pin connectors the light
would only work on the blue setting. After messing with the connectors for some time most of the color would not work properly. I do a lot of this so I am familiar with this type of work (lighting) So the $30.00 dollar light strip I bought is no longer any good because of a bad set of $7.00 dollar connectors. If you need to turn a corner with LED light strips do not use this type of connector.

I have yet to see these work successfully…. Its almost like the clamps don’t clamp hard enough to make a good connection… I have tried several times. Even tried Soldering…

These are perfect for connecting sections of led strip that form right angles on stable surfaces. Great for creating a rectangle of light strips behind a flat screen tv.

My LED light strip was the waterproof type, had to remove 1/4″ of the silicon to use them, all connection worked. Made the project work and look great, I’m sure the next project will go even better, love these LED strip lights. 👍
