Firstly this is not a motorcycle. I bought this to use as a daily commuter.I now have 1000 + miles on it. The pedal assist works fine and may be ok for leisurely riding but I just use the throttle and pedal. This is a great bike. Strong frame and wheels. Been in two crashes and no damage. The tires are nice off road tires and now live on my daughters mountain bike. I switched them out for high pressure road tires. Forget about the horn and light. They don’t work. I am 6’1″ 32″ inseam and had to buy a longer seatpost($30) to fit this frame. 13miles each way commute. Battery life is fine. After the 26 mile round trip it has a little juice left but not enough for another ride to work. I would buy again.

great electric bike. I am very happy with this bike! I use this bike to commute to work everyday. About 13 miles round trip. It saves me time and money and enjoy the ride.The bike is a little heavy, but not too bad. I did a lot of research before buying this electric bike, It is priced right and you get a lot more than you pay for! I like that it takes me 10-20min to get to school, but you have to charge it each way wish the battery would last longer. There is an immediate boost of power the second you get on so the only reason to go to the next level is if you are truly ready to ride. Great electric bike that you will definitely enjoy! You wont be disappointed with this purchase.

Bought my bike , it had been used twice since new, so I got a bargain. I’m a keen cyclist with several bikes but was diagnosed with asthma and I hadn’t used any of my bikes for about a year. Asthma and reduced stamina, I needed something to ease me into cycling again.
I like this bike, its best used on pedal assist when going uphill unless you weigh 2stone when using the throttle only. I can cover 6 miles within 20 minutes on varying terrain, which I’m told by my cycling mad son, is very impressive.
On one occasion the battery went flat, it’s a very heavy bike to peddle without battery power. I thought I was charging the battery overnight, however the charger was faulty. New one obtained for 30+ pounds. Fully charged battery now a flying machine.
For the price I am happy with my purchase.
My electric bike arrived last week and it’s been great! It rides on dirt trails and paved paths and it works flawlessly. If you’re curious about electric bikes, but don’t want to leap immediately into some of the very expensive options out there, this bike is a good starting point. Very good-looking shiny color. The front brake is extra strong! Don’t use in case of emergency or you will front-flip it. The soldering is very precise with no sharp edges nor ugly (uneven) marks.I connected a side basket to the rear rack(I installed a rear frame), making this compact bike an effective hauler for trips to the shop, and for carrying my book to study. Overall, I had fun with the electric bike and loved it.

** January 1, 2017 – Update – 509.5 miles ridden
Had my first crash on this bike. Right at the 500 mile mark mid-November. Sand had blown all over the bike path and I took it too fast. The bike did ok, but when I picked it back up the motor wouldn’t work. I pedaled the rest of my commute and got a ride home. I suspected (and was correct) that the left brake lever was bent and the motor was not able to engage because it thought I was braking. I was nervous muscling it back, but it wasn’t bent too bad. So that’s what I did. And I also took the time to replace both wheels, inner-tubes, and give the bike a cleaning. The front wheel was still ok on tread but the back wheel tread was completely gone. Changing the front wheel was easy. The back wheel was more challenging because the motor cables and disc brakes. Ended up leaving the wheel on the bike and just moving it slightly to get the tube and wheel in place. Ended up just being more annoying than difficult. The chain cleaned up nice with some Simple Green. I haven’t ridden on the commute nearly as much with me feeling a little more cautious and it getting dark so early (I don’t need to wipe out in the bike lane into traffic…) All is well though. Have had zero issues with the motor since bending the brake back to its (or close to its) rightful position.
** October 11, 2016 – Update – 245 miles ridden
Well it has been about a month and 245 ridden miles with the eBike and I love it. My commute to work each day is about 6.5 miles and takes about 25 minutes each way (in business casual clothing). Great outdoor time and avoiding highway traffic. So here are a few updated notes from my below review (and changing from 4-stars to 5-stars)
== Seller ==
True to their word (main reason for change from 4 to 5 stars), they sent me a replacement gear shift for the one that was broke on arrival. It took a few weeks and once when I emailed asking for an update, it was unclear if they did actually ship the part. It did arrive, and I am very pleased with the seller.
== Bike Tuning ==
I continued to have issues with the rear brakes. The rear disc brake was bending when I braked and I could not figure out how to get it from rubbing on the pads. I eventually took the bike over to REI and paid for a tune-up. Fantastic work by them, the bike has a better top speed by a couple mph now and shifting/braking are much smoother. I was also having issues with the chain jumping off the front derailleur on high torque (high gear from standstill). Looks like I just needed the experts to give it the tune.
== Comfort ==
I still dislike the seat quite a bit. I got a pad and I’m looking for something with a little more shock absorption.
== Extra Gear ==
With the disk brakes I had to get a new rack for the back of the bike. The frame is so thick and drilled holes inaccessible, I had to go out and get a new rack. I’ve included pictures to include how I used the seat assembly to help hold the rack in place.
** September 7, 2016 – Original Review **
I’ve had the eBike for about a week now and figure it is time to post my impressions. Overall, I am satisfied with the bike, especially based on the price. It has not been without hiccups (see below) but after quite a bit of research online I am convinced for the price, nothing out there will compare. Not five stars based on a few pending issues which will hopefully be resolved. It is not perfect. I have no idea if the more expensive bikes are “perfect”, though. I’ve spent some good time tinkering on this bike making adjustments so far, but that’s normal for any new bike.
== Shipping ==
UPS delivered one day later than the expected delivery date. It was a little frustrating, but one day is just one day, so can’t be all too upset. Box arrived in good condition. Inside the box, the bike seemed to be packaged well but there were issues. The left gear shift handle was snapped off. Homdox was notified and they said they would send a new one (handle, gear shift, bike…. not sure, assuming a new gear shift).
== Assembly ==
It was easy, good tools were shipped with the bike. The instructions are nearly useless, though. Like other reviews state, the front fork is backwards in the picture and shipped backwards. The disk brake should be on the port/left side. Flip the handlebar clasp around and leave the dirt guard facing forward. All the cables should flow naturally this way. Pedals were ok to put on, one of the pedals took a minute to get threaded but eventually got tightened.
== Fit ==
The fit is a little rough for me. I’m tall, about 73 inches, and I feel like the bike is small. I’ve ridden a few dozen miles to include a trip with a kids trailer towed behind, and it hasn’t been really uncomfortable, but a little cramped compared to my Schwinn Trailway 28″/700c hybrid bike. Seat adjusts up but feels tilted back a little more than I would like. I have ridden in shorts and tshirt to the beach as well as khakis and a button up with backpack to work, ok comfort both ways. Perhaps it will just take some time to get used to.
== Performance ==
— Battery —
I haven’t given a full benchmark on battery life as I haven’t gone without pedaling just using the motor. I live in a hilly place and I need to pedal to make it up some hills. But initial impressions are good. My hilly trip to the beach with kids in tow was about 13 miles round trip and I made it down to 3 of 5 bars on the battery. The battery does go down when the motor is under stress but levels itself when back on level ground. Battery is looking good.
— Frame —
The frame is solid. In fact too solid for me. The frame is thick with such a girth that my rear wheel bike rack doesn’t fit (around the frame or into the pre-drilled holes because the disk brake is in the way). Shocks seem to work fine. I do enjoy having the kick stand further back, provides a lot more stabilization to the bike vice being closer to the pedals.
— Motor —
As I said before, going up hills might require some pedaling, but it is SO MUCH EASIER with the motor running. I feel like a higher voltage is used on level 3 pedal assist than can be gotten just using the hand turn, though. It takes a few pedals for the pedal assist to kick in which can be annoying, but it does save some battery on initial acceleration. You also have to be careful pedaling around to park the bike or at a street corner waiting for traffic because you DO NOT want the motor to kick in and send you into a workbench or worse … oncoming traffic.
— Brakes —
I haven’t quite figured the brakes out yet. The back brake has a lot of rubbing on one brake pad (outboard). I’ve gone through YouTube and have done everything short of taking the brake pads out and adjusting the springs. Not sure what I’m going to do about it yet. Disk brakes work great though. I do have some annoying squealing but it is probably on me for not having it adjusted right.
— Gears —
The gears don’t seem to keep up on this bike. There are 21 gears, same as my other bike, but there is much more resistance at the highest gear on my other bike going 20mph than there is on this bike. The reason that is an issue is that during pedal assist, the bike goes pretty quick and I don’t want to be pedaling air, I want some, just a little, resistance. I don’t know the mechanics of it or how this would be the case, perhaps because this bike has smaller wheels than my other bike? The bike came pretty well adjusted on the derailleurs. I haven’t touched the back but the front I’ve had to mess with a little. The chain fell off outboard once, so had to adjust. Chain guard did its job well. The chain got stuck pretty good, but once I loosed the chain guard everything was easily moved.
== Seller/Customer Service (Homdox) ==
A few days after receiving the bike I received an email from Homdox asking if everything arrived ok and how the bike was working out. I let them know about the broken handle on the gear shift and sent them pictures. They replied on the first business day that followed stating they’d send a replacement. So… impressions right now are good. Hopefully the part arrives quickly and is in fact the right part.
The only ancheer has done right with this bike is take it off the market. This was my third e-bike purchased on Amazon. Thought I would take a chance with ancheer since most reviews seemed positive. I should have looked more closely at the negative ones. It appears that since the first of the year there were a lot of problems with the motor not performing properly. That’s exactly what happened to me. The throttle actually works, but the PAS is useless. It takes 10 to 12 peddle revolutions before the motor engages and when you stop the motor starts to drag. Tried to return but ancheer balked, I finally settled for a 250.00 “adjustment” after amazon got involved. I have a cyclamatic CX1 that I keep in Florida, and my wife rides a city E bike so we know what to expect in an electric bike. I ordered another cyclamatic last week. Should have done it in the first place. 365.00 lesson on my part.
