I’d been looking at getting an e-bike for quite some time, as I’m getting old, and pedaling up hills hurts a lot more now than it used to 30 years ago. A friend of mine recommended this one to me. The bike itself is pretty sturdy. I wasn’t really expecting it to be, as it’s kind of on the lower end of cheap Chinese knockoffs. I bought it mostly for getting to and from work in the spring/summer/fall, it’s 8 miles away, so I’ve been doing 16 miles a day.
The pedal assist is kind of really awesome. I don’t know what it’s like on higher end e-bikes, but it’s perfect for me. With the pedal assist on the highest level I get to work in the same amount of time that it takes to drive, being able to speed past all of the traffic and construction, and I still feel like I’ve done actual exercise when I get there. The motor cuts out at 15 mph or so, so you get a bit of help getting up to speed, and a bit of a boost if you drop back down below, which is mostly up steep hills in my case. I don’t know if it’s just my bike, or this entire model, but I don’t really feel any difference with the pedal assist on any level lower than max. The battery lasts about 40 miles on max assist before needing a recharge, and charges pretty quickly, just a few hours. The shifters and brakes work perfectly, needing no adjustments out of the box. The seat is pretty uncomfortable, so you’ll probably want to either replace it with a more comfortable one, or buy a padded cover for it.
The bike is pretty heavy, compared to other bikes I’ve owned in the past, but you don’t really feel it while pedaling, but it makes carrying it up 3 flights of stairs to my condo a bit of an ordeal.
Mine came with no assembly instructions. I was able to figure it out on my own without too much trouble, though anyone that is a bit less mechanically minded than me may have some trouble with it.
As with any bike that comes arrives in a box, you will need to get the wheels trued at a bike shop, or do it yourself if you have the tools for it, otherwise the wheels will be a bit wobbly, though you probably won’t notice it much until you put on the brakes.
All in all, I’m pretty happy with it. I’ve put about 150 miles on it so far, and had no problems other than that wheels needing to be trued out of the box. It’s perfect for my needs and a pretty sturdily built bike for the price.

This is a great bike!!!! Now, I did not put it together… and the person that did it for me didn’t tighten my handle bars or seat very well. So, I had loads of fun while they slipped during my ride, but that is not the bikes fault. I also experienced the cords rubbing against my front tire.. but again, not the bikes fault. The bike is fun to ride. It took a bit for me to understand when it would give me power when I wasn’t expecting it and what to do about it, in order to be safe. But, now that I know how to use the power and when to turn it off or use the accelerator button…. I have full confidence in my ability to ride safely. I wanted an electric bike for a year now. I’ve done a lot of research. I chose this one because the reviews were good and the motor was a 350 for a good price. I am fully satisfied and wish I had bought it earlier…. I tried to go with a nice manual bike, but it just wasn’t fun enough to ride. I like being able to work hard on my bike when I choose to and relax on my bike at other times. GREAT PURCHASE!!
Ancheer was very good to work with. The shipping company damaged the bike and Ancheer customer service was excellent to deal with. They sent me replacement parts and covered the repair costs after I send them detailed photos/video of the damaged box and bike being dropped off at my property. I love the bike! I have added several locally purchased accessories to the bike to suit my needs. It has great power and battery life. 17 miles is the longest I have gone on one charge with mixed power use. I got the extended warranty. I assembled it myself and it was easy. It came with all the tools I needed. I am very happy!!! Thanks, Ancheer for great customer service.

Update 8/27/19 – OK, so after taking these things out several times now, we, the spouse and I have noticed a small but nonetheless worthy of mentioning flaw – the kickstand. It positions the bike in too far upright position and the kick stand is not adjustable. I can almost guarantee you that if you put the kick stand down and turn the front wheel to the right, the bike will fall over. Even with the front wheel turned to the left the bike is still too unsteady; such to the point that I bought and installed two adjustable kick stands and mounted them just forward of the original kick stand (removed the original kick stands). The bikes are now much more stable when at rest. Iâm hoping Ancheer is listening because this would be a simple fix for them.
Update 8/22/19 – The screw/bolt that was missing arrived by FedEx this morning. Pretty good support considering the stuff had to come from China. They sent me four by the way. I needed one. Pretty considerate I’d say. Now as to the ride. The wife and I took them out last Saturday. All told the ride was about 14 mies. We had done the same ride about a month before on the non-electric bikes and the difference this time was like night and day. Just a pleasure. Little incline coming up? No Problema! Just give them pedals a little push or thumb that throttle and off and up you go. Joyous! We both used about a quarter of the batteries for the 14 miles. So, there was PLENTY of juice left. In the review below, I suggested you might wanna invest in a more comfortable saddle. Here’s another recommendation: think about a handlebar stem extender. What we found (both of us) was that we were pitched too far forward and by the end of the ride our hands and wrists (and my left shoulder) were hurting. Too much weight/pressure on the hands/wrists. I had noticed this in other reviews. I bought two extenders. Don’t worry about installation. Just check on YouTube for instructions . It’s idiot proof. The extenders make a BIG difference. You sit much more upright without stressing your hands/ wrists. Now, I can see people kvetching about having to buy a different saddle and handlebar extenders but hey, you wanna be comfortable? Well then spring for the $30-$40 extra or suffer. But don’t complain. We’re taking the bike out again this weekend for another 14-15 mile trip. If needed, I’ll update again but I’m liking this bike so much already that I upgraded the review to 5 stars. I just noticed that these bike are currently unavailable. I’m guessin’ that’s because they’re temporarily out of stock. (That’s what happened to me when I tried to order our second one.) I’m also guessin’ that they’re out of stock because Ancheer can’t keep up with the demand. So, snatch one of these babies up the next time they become available.
So, I bought this bike for my wife. We live in Manhattan. Donât let anyone tell you there are no hills in NYC. Believe me, there are. We were heading over the Queensboro bridge to Long Island City. I told her donât leave me behind. The incline up and over the bridge is not all that steep but itâs pretty long. I hafta interject here that Iâm 70+ years old and pushing my old fanny up that incline on my non powered bike was somewhat difficult. Not for my wife though. She just put that baby on the second level of power and BOOM she was gone. It was about then that the thought occurred to me that maybe I should get one on these for myself. So I did. Which leads me to this review. The bike arrived in about a week. It comes about 70% assembled. Yes, the instructions leave a little bit to be desired but truthfully you can probably put this thing together even without any instructions if you have the bare minimum of mechanical ability. They even give you all the tools you need to complete the assembly. The only trouble you might have is mounting the front wheel, getting the disk inside the disk brake. Plus, afterwards youâre gonna hafta adjust the brakes. There are no instructions that come with the bike on how to do this; but, with a little know how or looking on the interwebs you should be able to do this without too much problem. Which brings me to support. I didnât need any when assembling my wifeâs bike but when mine arrived, one of the screw/bolts that tighten the handle bars to the stem was missing (one of four). I checked the shipping box thoroughly but it was gone. Probably loosened up and fell out during shipping. I contacted Ancheer (through Amazon. It was a weekend so I wasnât expecting an instantaneous response.) via email and on the next business day they got back me. Pretty good I thought. I explained about the missing screw/bolt and they were quick to tell me that they would send me a couple replacements. Itâs been about a week now and although the screw/bolt hasnât yet arrived, Iâm willing to be patient as I understand that the part likely has to be sent from China. Iâll update this review in so far as support goes as needed. As to the bike: itâs a little heavy and its a little small. Iâm about 5â 10â and itâs OK for someone my size (and my wife who is shorter) but if youâre over 6â tall this bike might be a tad small for you. Iâm not an expert on how to size a bicycle; so, thatâs something you need to consider. Weight – yeah, itâs pretty heavy. Off the top of my head, I think it weighs in around 54 pounds (thatâs with the battery). We havenât run these babies enough yet to make a honest assessment of them but Iâll adjust this review as we get more ride time. Oh, the saddle, you might wanna consider buying a different saddle. We did but then again weâre a couple of old timers who thought a nice padded seat was in order. Like I said, Iâll adjust this review as time goes by but for now with the little ride time weâve had with them (and with the quick response we goy from support), Iâm thinking this is a pretty good value. Iâll adjust as needs be.
First ride out the box was amazing, the feeling when you get the boost from max peddle is awesome.
