First off, this was really easy to set up. Did come with instructions but was also self explanatory. The grills are easy to clean and so was the water dish. Even after fat drippings sit in there for 2 days, everything came off. The charcoal pit is really big and I was able to use big wood chunks. Like that I’m able to use this as a smoker or a small hibachi, which will come in handy for camping trips. I recently used this for a family gathering and had to do a total of 6 pork shoulders. I had to cook 2 for Saturday and the rest on Sunday. Whether you’re cooking something small or large, this smoker can definitely handle the task. As you can see from the picture the meat came out beautiful, moist and delicious. I did have to use heat gloves when removing the center part to add more wood and water but that was fairly easy to do. This smoker hardly takes up any space whether I’m needing to cook in a small area or larger. Not to mention, when I’m done with it, I can stick this inside my shed or the side of my house and not worry about a bulky smoker in the way. I do need to buy a cover for it but other than that, no matter what meats I use with this, everything has come out juicy and full of flavor. Not to mention, withstands the heat too.
I am very please with this purchase, this was my very first time buying a smoker and I am beyond pleased. You cannot compare the flavor of a regular barbecue ribs to some smoked ! Wow what a game changer. I canât believe we were so long without one of this, itâs amazing. I donât know why they retail for so much, when you can just buy this one for one third of the price and get the same flavor on your meat. On top of great flavor when using as smoker, you can also use it as a regular bbq, so itâs great anyway you see it. Itâs big enough to fit all the food for my family and myself, and also it is sturdy and solid. I also like that youâre able to check the internal temperature due to it having a built in thermometer which makes it a lot easier to get that desired taste, if you need to lower it you can just adjust it thanks to the damper vent. This charcoal smoker is easy to transport and carry and thatâs very important to us since we donât only want to use it at home but also take it on our camping trips.

Out of the box, it’s fairly simple to put together. The door latch is pretty nice, and the ash can or vent built to last. And the charcoal ring is small and kind of flimsy enough, I’ve smoked ribs for a solid 6 to 7 hours without adding any fuel, and it does the trick. After burning it in, it sealed everything perfectly. I also have an extra charcoal ring for the 18in just in case something happen in the future. For the price, you really can’t beat it. It’s a solid smoker. I think it can be self-regulate, and with that I get plenty of smoke for the taste is great. To put it in perspective, I can fit two pork butts on it. I recently did one and had enough pulled pork for 6 adults and 6 kids, and there were left overs that could have fed at least one more family of 2 adults and 2 kids. So, it is perfect for a small gathering. Another bonus is that it can keep the temperature very consistent and did not overheat like some have noticed with the bigger models. Overall, this thing holds temperature at 225 almost perfectly, for hours. I bought this smoker for a car camping trip that I take every year. It’s way more portable than my old offset smoker. And it’s been so impressive, that I’ll probably sell the offset and stick and stick with this guy.
