I just installed this umbrella and it is the coolest thing! It came yesterday about 4 pm so I put the solar top on the outdoor table along with the umbrella, and that was enough light to turn it on. It goes together really easily (though I have to tether it at opposite corners to keep it from swinging around).

The thing is, the color is not taupe (grey/beige), it is a lovely medium cocoa brown. Goes perfectly with my dark-brown furniture which was repainted using Rustoleum’s “espresso brown,” if you know that color. On my screen, what is shown is very accurate, as I was hoping it would be.

The only thing is, it came with one sheet of drawings showing how to put it together, but no other info, so I don’t know if it needs a battery if so, what type. I guess I’ll have to wait til it runs down (if it does) and look for a way to change out a battery. Right now it is really good looking and I love the twinkly lights!

The idea is a good one, but the product isn’t built well. The pole isn’t strong enough to adiquatly support the awkward shape of the umbrella. The first good wind we had knocked the umbrella & 55lb stand over. The pole dented and now the umbrella tips to one side. Any wind really catches the umbrella (open & closed). We’ve looked at ways to add a steel pipe over the bottom 4 feet of the pole. The solar lights are a nice touch and do provide soft light at night.

This was a piece of junk the solar lights didn’t work more than two hours now they won’t work at all don’t tell me to replace the batteries because I replaced them with the most expensive batteries I could find for solar powered items was not happy will not do business with that company ever again as far as I’m concerned their stars are in the minus

I loved the umbrella when I purchased it last year. Unfortunately it didn’t last long. The solar lights stopped working and just recently the tilt mechanism broke after we left it open during a rainstorm. Now it’s permanently tilted.

So far so good. We love it. Our previous umbrella was a larger diameter pole but the company has since gone out of business. The lights are so cool – not too bright not too dim.

Bought this for my mom and it covered her patio table perfectly. She is absolutely in love with it and it works perfect for sunny days and at night when we need a little bit of light over the table!

nice umbrella, I like the rectangle shape. Material I a bit thin and short poles slip out of their pockets when let umbrella down. Overall I am very happy with it.
