Price For: Each Connection: For 3/16 I.D. Rubber or Plastic Tubing Features: Magnet To Hold In Place Item: Portable Static Pressure Tip Country of Origin (subject to change): Unknown
These sensors are for use with Manometers, Magnehelic Gages, Pressure Switches and other Controllers to pick up or sense static pressure drop across air filters and cooling coils, blower input and discharge pressures, etc. The angled tips shown have 4″ insertion depth. Each has four radially drilled .040″ sensing holes. All except Model A-303 mount in 3/8″ hole in duct. For portable use, a magnet holds No. A-303 in place. No. A-305 is used where a very low actuation or sensing point is required on a pressure switch or gage or where response time is critical. No. A-307 and A-308 are suitable for use in low velocity systems or where the need for accuracy is less critical.
Disappointing, even though appears to be solidly made.
1. Inaccurately described – insertion depth is approx. 3″ to 3 1/8″ (76-79 mm) from underside of bracket to centerline of tip, NOT the 101 mm claimed. So if you are monitoring pressure in a HVAC main return (or supply) duct, or near a filter box, etc, your reading may be less accurate than if you reached further into the airflow with a longer probe.
2. Although said to be frequently sold with the Dwyer Series Mark II 25 manometer, the manometer and its included tubing (small OD port connection, and matched ID tubing) are way smaller than this probe’s 3/16″ OD. So this probe requires a short length of larger (3/16″ ID) tubing and a step-down adapter to connect it to the much smaller tubing that comes with the manometer.
In future, I will get the Fieldpiece ASP2 static probe, which does have a 4″ insertion depth, and a connection end small enough to fit into the Dwyer manometer’s included tubing.. Plus, sold as a pair, (and priced cheaper than two of these, I think), with the two of them and the Dwyer manometer (or other low-range differential pressure gauge), you’re all set to monitor the pressure drop across your air filter to monitor its performance, (or across the HVAC system’s return and supply sides, to see the system’s total “ESP” – external static pressure).

Works well as described .They installed a new furnace and I’m enjoying verifying the gas valve pressure .the static pressure for return and supply air flow. is making me knowledgeable (and safe)of my HVAC system.Quality item.
These probes are very convenient. The magnet base hold them in place so you can take no hands measurements and the probe stays pointing into the airflow. You only need one but I bought two just to take differential readings.
I am not a big fan on relying on the magnet to keep the probe in place. I could not find one with a screw down mounting plate. Else, great product. If your only for testing, the magnetic mount to the surface is ideal. (I.e. temporary mount/mobile application.

It didnât last like ngbin the field being used every day for about 4-5 months and this was my second one. The first one I thought maybe was just a bad probe so I bought another and same time frame it was just done. And before you think it was Mishandled or misused it wasnât. I have a special kit box to store it and I always pre drill my holes
I have used these a couple of times. The magnet is not attached to the tip and is loose so it tends to slide away from the base when not in use, minor inconvience. Does what it is suppose to do and the price was better than most competitors price. I would buy more if I needed them.

does the job. The magnet came loose but that was a minor fix.

Purchased these for HVAC job. Amazon site looked like I was getting 2 tips and thereby made it a good deal. I also liked the larger Magnets set on the correct side of teh base unlike some other brands. Product arrived with only one. I rechecked website to see if I missread it. Website sead Probes not probe. I called the vender and they IMEDIATELY and overnighted a 2nd probe to me. I think that is very good business and I will definately buy from them again.
