You will give up ironing for good! First of all this steamer heats up very fast, half a water tank in about a minute. Second of all, it is very effective. I have a couple of pieces of clothing that I stopped taking to dry cleaners for light care just because steaming at home takes care of them now. The nozzle needs to be wiped after steaming some garments as it picks up lint and fuzz. Overall, this Steam Butler does exactly what a garment steamer is supposed to do and is easy to use!

I looked at all of the steamers on Amazon and read all of the reviews, both positive and negative. It seemed to me that the steamers made for use in the home are not made to last and/or lack steam volume. I decided to look at the industrial steamers because they are made for regular use and abuse. I like this steamer. It is compact and well made. The plastic water bottle is heavy hard plastic (like a milk jug) and I believe it will last a long time. It produces a lot of steam and the bar is a perfect height to hold hangers and is one piece. This was a Christmas gift for my mother who suffers from arthritis and using an iron hurts her sholders. She loves the steamer and rarely uses her iron now. She has used it since Christmas with no problems. If there are any problems in the near future with the steamer I will add on comments.

The SteamButler II worked very well for me on my heavy wool overcoats as well as my heavy cotton jeans, and it handles lighter fabrics very easily. It was simple to assemble, however I found that draining the unit after use was a little awkward, but I think I’ll get the hang of it.

Heats up fast and is simple to use. This steamer does not have a wide base. You must watch that you have the garment perpendicular to the lower steamer part of the machine – if they are running the same direction, it has a tendency to tip.

this is a very nice steamer but the base is way too narrow and tips over frequently which causes water to spill all over the floor. if i could have i would have gotten the jiffy instead with a more stable base

It is not powerful enough. Capacity is small. If you are in a hurry to take care of your cloth in the morning commute, this is not a product to use.
