I give this blower/vacuum 5 stars for what it is — not what other reviewers want it to be. It is not a multi-horsepower back pack leaf blower. It will not clear a yard of wet leaves. But it is fantastically easy for small lightweight jobs blowing clippings, leaves, dust, etc. from garages, sidewalks, patios, and the like that costs less than half of what more powerful blowers cost. It is easy to use and recharge. It puts out a decent velocity of air. It is easy to assemble (under 15 seconds). The tiny bags that are included for vacuuming won’t handle much debris, but they are useful for such a small device for small jobs. So far the battery has maintained excellent life for the few short times I’ve used it (I am 10 minutes of use into the first charge).

I bought this blower because it is compatible with Makita batteries. If you’re looking for a leaf blower for yard cleanup, this probably isn’t it. While it has no trouble with moving small amounts of leaves, the volume of air this style blower can put out makes it slow to do so. This blower is physically larger than similar looking Ryobi, Kobalt and Craftsman shop blowers, and heavier than the Einhell brand blower I have that is the same size. This is most directly comparable with the old Makita DUB182 blower. It does a good job cleaning up in the shop and blowing debris off the driveway. If you want to do more, it isn’t for you.
There are a lot of choices in Makita-compatible tools online. I chose this one for price and availability. $35 delivered next day, about the same as a single-speed bare tool unbranded Makita compatible blower starts at. Genuine Makita starts at $76, bare tool. This is high value. At the $40 list price, it’s still a big winner. The lock-on feature is convenient, the speed adjuster works properly, and the inclusion of two debris bags is very thoughtful.
I like this tool quite a bit. The only reason it’s not five stars is the battery and charger included isn’t 100% Makita compatible. It can only be used with older Makita tools, new Makita flashlights, and new Makita-compatible third party tools. Newer Makita brushless tools won’t accept this battery due to electronic lockout and it does not fit in Makita chargers due to the lack of the yellow connector. Its included charger is fine. The battery uses 2.0AH cells as labeled, which I’ve found to not be the case in some other third party batteries.

I picked up this inexpensive cordless blower to help with keeping the garage tidy and to blow dust away around woodworking and yard projects. So far, so good. Fit and finish and packaging seem decent; it feels well-made. I have not yet tried the vacuum function. I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that it accepts Makita LXT batteries. I really wanted a Makita blower in the first place to avoid having to deal with multiple battery types although I did not want to spend as much as they cost, so this is a HUGE bonus for me. The provided battery is labeled to conform to Makita BL1820. Note that this battery does NOT fit my Makita charger (does not have the yellow connector in the middle) and will not run my Makita drill (light comes on, but no motor). But my Makita batteries appear to work fine in the blower, which is what I really want. Now, is it really a 20V blower? The BL1820 it claims to conform to is an 18V battery. You decide. Either way, it works.

This leaf blower is small, about half the size of my corded leaf blower and maybe 1/3 of my gas blower. It will blow dry leaves but struggled with small twigs, this is with the blower at the highest speed, so the other 2 slower speeds are rather meaningless for garden work. I have not tried the vacuum function, so no comment.
This is my first leaf blower, this blower does fine for smaller jobs, which is what I got it for. The blower is small, my kids can handle it. I would not want to blow the entire yard with it.
Super lightweight highly recommend for children, people with weaker bones or elderly people.
This machine is not very strong it’s for smaller jobs the battery last a good while.
Anyways lightweight strong enough for dry leafs but not a big pile might gotta be closer for wet ones.
