Google Pixel XL 128GB, Very Silver, 5.5″ (Certified Refurbished)

Omg…where to begin. This phone is life!!! My brother has had it for a year and recommended it to me because the camera is good and I have a small child and take all my pics with my phone. Wow!!! Calling this camera good is an understatement!!! I had some random people take a picture of my friend and I in front of the Bean in Chicago at night and they were blown away by how good the picture turned out with no flash and very minimal lighting in the area. They had iPhones and their pics were dark and grainy- I ended up taking a picture of them with my phone and texting it to them. This phone actually took better pictures at night than my friend’s semi-professional camera with a giant lense! It’s such a great camera! I also love the Google interface on the phone. I’ve always had Android (altho I have a Mac computer and an iPad so I’m familiar with both) and it took a tiny bit of getting used to, but I much prefer Google to either one! I love accessing my phone with my fingerprint. Hey Google is surprisingly responsive. I like sliding up and down to view my apps instead of left and right. I love the simplicity of the screens. AND get this!!! I have twice driven down the road with this phone on the roof of my car (mommy brain lol) and it has not broken!!!! It has literally slid off the roof of my car going 50mph onto asphalt road with just a cheapo case on it and it doesn’t have even a scratch!!!! I had a note 4 prior to this and that screen would crack if I even looked at it funny lol.

This is by far the best phone I have ever owned. My friends are all looking at buying one after seeing how awesome and relatively affordable it is. This phone also has great storage capacity (altho having my photos Al store to the cloud lowers my dire need for lots of storage). The battery life is also really good. It lasts all day and I use my phone HEAVILY! By the end of the day though it is pretty much dead. It charges really fast though.

The shipping on this phone was fast, as expected. The phone comes with everything you need to transfer all your stuff from your old phone which is nice. I use this phone with TMobile. The phone comes with a fast charger which is nice because it uses usb-c rather than the regular micro USB that I’m used to. The wall adapter that this phone came with was for China instead of the us so I couldn’t plug it in to charge. I contacted the seller directly and they were AMAZING! They didn’t jerk me around. After telling them that I got the wrong wall plug in they immediately shipped me a complete fast charger like the next day. Great customer service! I have no complaints and highly recommend this phone to anyone and everyone 🙂

So far, after 2 days, this phone makes me a believer in Google phones. I will NEVER go back to Samsung or LG phones.

I have also signed on to Google FI project and receive 5 bars of service where Verizon only gave me 2. Highly recommend FI

I bought the Google Pixel XL, and although it is Certified Refurbished, I was skeptical when I received it. There was obvious wear and tear, light brush-like scratches throughout the areas that were glossy or glass, including over the camera lenses; making for some not so great photos. I used it for a week or two, and suddenly it powered off, screen went black.

The phone become completely unresponsive and will not power back on, including using the hard reboot (Power+Volume Down). It doesn’t respond to being plugged into anything either.

Bought this for my wife, who had been using a Galaxy S5 for a few years. She has been using the Pixel for a couple of months now and she really likes it. The transfer of her contacts etc from the old phone to the new was pretty seamless. We did have to go to the AT&T store to have the SIM card trimmed to fit the Pixel. She doesn’t do many games, but she takes a lot of photos of our pets. Having the link to the cloud is nice so she doesn’t burn through all memory. She hasn’t had any problems with the processing speed.

Works perfectly fine, minimal surface scratches, no dents or major damage. Only like three hair-sized scratches on screen, no biggie. The ONLY issue I have is that only one of my speakers works. I didn’t say anything about it because I often use headphones, and the sound still does work perfectly through the one speaker. I mean, for the price, I’m perfectly happy. I’d be ecstatic if there were no scratches and both the speakers worked.

Gave phone some time before I really gave an honest review and I’m glad I did. Okay I love this phone but recently started playing lots of FPS games and my screen goes nuts most of the time… Was this phone screen replaced with some knockoff Chinese one of something?? I mean I heard 8.1 had some multi touch issues but for the pixel 2 XL. It’s going to suck if I’m gonna have to go and get the screen replaced. Regardless only thing I’ve had a bad experience with. Anyone else?

I was previously on a Windows Lumia 830. I thought migrating to Android and Google Pixel would be a massive step up – in terms of speed of the OS switching between apps (response lag) and in terms of the phone quality itself. It turns out that the Windows OS is superior to Android – way better in fact – but of course no one makes apps for Windows…and Google navigation is great amongst other apps of course. ANyway, the phone is fast, but not lightening fast in terms of switching between apps and opening apps. But it does not frustrate – it is fast enough.
The camera is awesome. 5 stars there.The fingerprint scanner is also excellent. The Pixel does not come preloaded with all the junk they load on Samsung, which is great. The S8 may be an object of beauty, but I wanted a phone that does not slow down due to apps overload and software layering. The Pixel has a an excellent build quality. Yes the screen does not curve to the edges, but so what. The phone works well, the signal strength is good. Chrome loads fast and the browser loads pages fast. VOice clarity on the phone is superb. I still need my phone to be a phone, and it does a great job in that area.
Would I buy it again? Yes. Note – this phone was shipped to South Africa. It works 100% perfectly on any network here. Loud and clear, and fast on LTE.
Note to the shipper – the packing was dismal. The box had no bubblewrap or any cushioning inside it. Very poor packaging. But the phone did arrive on time and DHL provided an awesome service.

I really like this phone, great battery and all the latest OS updates. It gave me a slightly different look than my HTC M9 but after a couple weeks I am very happy……. perfect screen size for me. Works great on the T-MOBILE network.
