Edit: 1 year and a half later these lights have lived up to their initial quality and work and look like they did when I bought them. The black aluminum casing isn’t flaking or chipping off either. I’m considering buying two more to light up the other side of my trees. I’ll add that these lights have the right heft to them – they feel as solid and heavy as you’d think they should though they aren’t heavier than they need to be.

Initial Review:

Okay so I got these lights for outdoor usage because the outdoor lights are on all night and I wanted to reduce the power draw as much possible since I know that every single night, for 6 hours, these will be running.
These lights were chosen to replace 36w halogen flying saucer shaped lights hard wired to a 12v system. I have to say they initially seem like perfect replacements. The color is a good 3000k, it’s not too yellow or too white and the CRI must be above 80, I can’t say it looks like a “cheap Chinese led” that will cheapen the feel of the landscape.

They were simple to wire in and seem well constructed and waterproof. If they don’t hold up I would be surprised but I will update the review.

Based on initially quality I think the price of ~$8.50 per light is fair and I’m happy with the purchase.

These lights are great. I bought a Moonrays transformer, 12/2 low voltage cable and 8 Lemonbest warm white spotlights (four 2-packs). The details of what I ordered are below.

I used seven of these Lemonbest lights and they are really good. The warm light is very natural; the lights are heavy and of good quality and you can’t beat the price. They are very biright! I highly recommend these lights for your spotlight project. And, I only used 35 watts! That’s less than an indoor incandescent lamp bulb!

It was very easy to connect the lights to the 12/2 electrical cable. My only issue was the wire attached to the lights (18 gauge) is a bit thin and might deteriorate over time – but I think 18 gauge is pretty standard for these types of lights.

4) Waterproof “Dryconn electrical connectors from Home Depot ($8.50) (20 medium and small).

I initially ordered two of these to try them out – as you will not find a light at a more competitive price point. So the build is not the same as Malibu or other bigger names. Initially I was skeptical as one of the brackets bent when I inserted the spike into the ground, but when I quickly learned to push from the bottom of the bracket – problem solved. As stated in another review, the wire is a pretty thin gauge, but this is a low voltage LED – so it does not draw much power. Overall these babies work great, and I ended up ordering six total for consistency in light output. I am using them to illuminate very large oak trees in the front yard – and so far they are working great and very bright. I would give these a 9 out of 10, with the point deducted for bracket build and wire thickness. The seller was also proactive in reaching out to make sure I was happy. I get the impression if something goes south – they will be responsive.

These lights are super bright, but look great. Went with the 3000K units, and the color is just right. Not too yellow, and not too white. I put 4 of these in front of my house to illuminate the front and display the landscaping, and these sure do the trick. (Before and after pictures posted). They are much brighter than I though they would be, so do not expect subtle lighting. I installed these lights outdoors and they’re now withstood rain, wind and a lot of direct sunlight (California). They work extremely well on my dusk to dawn system. So they run every night for hours. Color is very cool white and they’re extremely bright. I have 2 facing the sidewalk and road and they light up the entire area. Installation is not difficult if you know what you’re doing. They come with bare wire connections. I have removed the stakes from mine and screwed them directly onto the wood support beams. Have bought more since.
