This is a top of the line stair chair. I have used stair chairs before and this one is of high quality. The fact that it has 4 wheels instead of 2 as some stair chairs makes it very easy to use moving the person around. It is very well built and will hold up well over time. Great for getting that person that can no longer move up and down stairways access to those areas. Also useful as an emergency exit device for the person with limited mobility who lives in an area where the elevator might be disabled for a mechanical or other reason.

This chair is very strong, manageable and works great on smooth surface. Only thing, I need to address is, the lock is easy to unlock which can be a good/bad thing. There is no sign to show lock/unlock positions. If someone pushing the chair doesnât know this, they can easily (accidental) unlock the chair and it could close up on the patient sitting in the chair.

I purchased this item for two reasons. 1- to move my mother who is now bound to a wheelchair around the upstairs and downstairs of her home. And # 2 – in case emergency to swiftly exit her from the premise. So far, it meets my needs precisely. Well built and sturdy. One recommendation is that I wish the two front wheels had the option of temporarily locking them after transit while we move her from the chair.
Otherwise – excellent item.
Overall good value. Sturdy, weâll constructed. The chair works well on hard surfaces ( tile, stone, hard woods) size of the wheels makes it difficult to push a patient on carpeted flooring.
Well designed to transport a patient up and down stairs.
