The product itself is fine. When I checked the package there was only ten packets in the box that was supposed to be 25 per box…

These are a pretty cool little thing to take with you while camping or having a party. The colors are pretty wild, with blues, greens, purples, pinks, reds, yellows, and oranges. It makes your fire look like a rainbow for about 20-30 minutes, with the first 10-15 minutes being super neat and the colors start to dim down little by little after that. I myself used 3 packets each time I used them, as that gave me the results I wanted. I’d be willing to bet that the more packets you use, the more colors you will see, and vice versa.
Keep in mind that these are indeed packets full of chemicals, so I would most definitely NOT cook over the fire once you have placed these packets into it. Not sure how bad of health affects that could have on you, but I know I didn’t want to find out and you probably shouldn’t either. So keep it safe and have fun.
We bought these in bulk for much less than we were getting them at camp stores or the big box stores. The kids love them. It is important to read the directions carefully. I remember a product when I was a kid that your sprinkled on the fire. Not this stuff! You just throw the packets in. Opening the package can be dangerous! The write-up claimed you could get 30 minutes out of them, and we got every bit of that. Very pleased.

These are awesome. If you put a couple packages of the Magical Flames in different areas of the fire, you get a really cool effect. They need to be placed where the fire can whip up over the bag to cause the best effect. A few trials and got it to work great – easily repeatable. I’ll be buying more!

I’m sure this product would work just fine, but I don’t like getting ripped off. I decided to count the packs in the box since other buyers stated they were shorted a few packs. Well, I was missing 2 packs. Mistake? On purpose? Don’t know. I don’t want more than I’m entitled to, just what I paid for.
We purchased a package of these little packets for the holidays to try with our 5lb Duraflame logs. Last evening we laid one packet lengthwise on top of the log after we lit it (to allow it to get started properly) and we enjoyed the vibrant color display for the entire 3 hours. If we want more color volume we can add more packets as directed and plan to do that this evening. There was no odor associated with these and that was also nice. The colors are very pretty, especially the blue tones. These are going to be a regular purchase for us after seeing the results.

I have purchased these before and have never been disappointed. They take a few minutes to fully change the color of the fire, but once they do they maintain the color for some time afterwards. The children even calm down enough to see the changes and thoroughly enjoy it.

Great product. Used for a fall backyard “bonfire” and a Halloween parties in a metal fire pit with a ceramic fire skull also purchased on Amazon. Adults and kids loved it, marveling at the blue and green colors of the flames. I was pleasantly surprised at how long the color lasted – going on for more than ten to fifteen minutes before slowly fading. Picture was a few minutes after adding two packets to the fire.
