HDMI 2.0 HDCP 2.2 handshakes with Premiere+ and UB900 sources and out to the LS10500 and the 27UD58-B displays were perfect, very slight delays on HDR material.
No Audyssey or video processing for me, my treated soundproofed HT is enough, fronts go down to 28Hz. BTW the 30deg ceiling Atmos install reminded me why I am 10 years older.
Very happy, slowly we are becoming a Marantz family, even my PC got a HD-DAC1 USB Asio (JB radio in FLAC at 96kHz is out of this world).
Good job Denon for keeping Marantz at the top, bad job for eliminating the Denon top of the line processors and jacking the price by another 1k in this captive market, sorry folks but the Yammys and rest can’t hold a candle, and balanced AV HDCP 2.2 packages are nowhere, Classé are you listening?

Movies: man oh man, when I heard the ships buzzing all around me during the space battle, I got goose bumps! Wow!
Video: I cannot comment on this due to being color blind and hence not investing in the latest television.
Best on screen set up instructions I’ve ever seen (even shows you how to strip speaker wire correctly)
Calibration system is great. Unlike previous systems, this makes me sample the sound in 8 different locations in relation to my sitting possition)
Every option possible for sound and video play
Synchs with Spotify like it’s an external speaker
Has most popular streaming apps built in (e.g., Pandora)
Can do up to 3 zones (=/- video)
Marantz customer service excellent
Price is competitive but still quite expensive when you consider you need to also buy amp(s). Then again, you wouldn’t be looking at this model if you had more brains than money.
I don’t like that it doesn’t let me force to play the sound modes I want. It offers several choices based on the source it detects. I recall my Yamaha used to allow me to select odd sound modes.
I experienced it and read many other people had the same issues: after calibration, the center channel was set WAY TOO LOW so I had to recalibrate or manually modify.
