I searched long and hard to find a good set of silverware that would meet my requirements:
Classic appearance that is good for every day use or get togethers
Needed to be 18/10 to avoid rust spots reported on other silverware that is 18/0
Good weight so it feels substantial in your hand
Knives needed to be cast as one piece to avoid mechanical failure like I had on all my Oneida
Good size and shape of fork and spoons – some silverware has crazy 3 prong forks that don’t work right
This silverware set is a hit on all of my requirements. We have washed it many times and it looks great. One thing I learned doing research is do not use lemon based dishwasher cleaners. That is one reason some people have rust on their silverware. I purchased it for my wife as a present and she loved it! In the end that is all that matters.

Feels good in the hand
Strong – no worry of bending a utensil here.
18/10 – the mirror finish should last
Salad fork has 4 normal tines

was not affected. As for the flatware itself, it is elegant enough for special occasions and simple enough for everyday use. We were surprised at how large the individual piece are in comparison to most we’ve owned prior to this set, a difference my large-handed husband really likes and I don’t mind. Finally, this flatware does fine in the dishwasher which is especially fine with me.
