Nokero N233 Solar Light-Lanterns

This is another great light by a great company. They have been around 10+ years in the renewables field and have been steadily improving.

Steve is a great guy and has this outfit out of Denver colorado. It is a handful of hardworking innovators trying to make the world better one idea at a time.

Anyways, let’s talk about the light…

When received, I had noticed it was a lot like their previous lights. Compact and easy to use.

The very first generation had a rounded design, mechanical slide switch and removeable nimh battery.

Second Gen had a non removable nimh battery , digital switch and a new compact design.

This being the third gen, it has a lithium ion phosphate battery, digital switch and new compact design.

The best part of all the generations is the use of SUNPOWER Solar panels that are the best available to consumers.

You are getting a solid and robust design. Then again, the cause is to have the light last with the least amount of coin.

If I were to improve this…

1 – Make it have a glow in the dark button or mix the newest green plastic with a little v10 glow powder. This would be a home run.

2 – Have the auto off-on function re-enabled as this was the best part of the first lights. This has to be an issue with the new digital switch and firmware.

3 – A magnetic built into the plastic head. Nice mini carabiner or bendable wire to make this mountable everywhere.

I never hesitate to buy their products and they will answer the phone of any issues, quality products and their cause is uplifting.

It’s now easier to order over amazon but I recommend that you give them a call and they will help you with whatever. A lot of flaky products out their that push advertisement and this one speaks for itself again.

I really like this solar powered light, but the plastic casing for it is too flimsy. It doesn’t support the weight of the light, so the base tips easily) and in trying to screw the light into the base the whole base cracked. Nice concept but needs to be built for more durability.

Compact, light, cute and sturdy, this is an ideal light for camping, emergency use, or really anywhere you need a directional light source. It’s ideal as an alternative to solar lanterns, which are typically multi-directional, and it’s bright enough to be useful for almost any task, even reading in the dark. Easy to charge, easy to mount (either by hook, screw-in light, or using the detachable stand), and two different brightness settings make it a perfect purchase. I’ll be buying more of them!

I received these solar lanterns (I purchased two units) just yesterday and decided to test them out overnight. I charged them both in direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM (7 hours of charge time). I turned them on at 10:00 PM and left them on the “low” setting until 6:00 AM (8 hours) this morning. Very pleased with its performance so far. The low setting provides a decent amount of light. The high setting is quite bright. We are planning an upcoming camping trip so I can’t wait to use these bad boys! Great purchase! Highly recommend.

I’ve been putting together a bundle of solar powered/rechargeable/battery operated/USB devices and this item fits in nicely. It’s such a cute, small size which I’ll keep handy for power outages and camping.

I turned it on the low setting and left it on to see how long it would run. 22 hours! I can’t guarantee yours will run this long, but I’m impressed.

Note to manufacturer: Have more than this bright green color available. (I didn’t see a choice at time of purchase.)

These lights are really small but they have a nice soft glow. Perfect for a small area like cabin or tent. I just got them and will post more at a later date. Right now I need them out by my car where there isn’t any light. I live in the Alaska interior and winters are very long and harsh. Very, very cold and very long, about 5 months. Next spring I should no more. Oh yes, we get less and less sunlight as we get closer to Winter Solstice.

Excellent product. Works well. Charges well. I ordered them and gave one to my roommate. We use them as night lights for the hallway and as flash lights. They also see duty as reading lamps on the patio and, although we have several solar lights on the patio, these are our favorites. Very convenient with no cords and the solar charger built into the light.
