The clip in version of these installed easily and securely on my 2014 JKU Rubicon and they look pretty good. I took the grill off which helped. Make sure you are putting them in the right direction. The wider portion goes on the bottom. The only issue I have with them is the clips peeled the paint off the inside of the slots like a potato skin as they pushed through and into place. Cant see the damage now that they are in place but it will need touched up if I ever remove the inserts. If I could do it again, I would have put some kind of tape around the edges of the slots that would have protected the paint and would have been invisible after installing the inserts.

look great- BUT you MUST take off your front grill or you will spend crazy effort trying to get these snapped inc correctly. The instructions say “recommend taking off grill”….just do it! They are sturdy and definitely a grill protector and look great! Oh, it will take two people with the grill on a towel face down then press into place and “snap”…..

Installed these a month or so ago on a 2016. The clips inserted and hold into the grill holes well without the need for 3m tape. The only one that didn’t clip all the way is the slot on the far left, on that one I was only able to get 3/4 of the clips to engage. I havn’t had any issues with it though, if I ever worry about it coming off i’ll put a bit of 3m tape on that section and feel that would be plenty to ensure continual usage.

The construction of these inserts are nicer than others I have seen. Like that the snaps are hard to snap, which gives me peace of mind they are not just going to unsnap on a pot hole or bump. Pretty easy install once I undid the grille enough to get my hand behind to snap them in. Like that they are snug against the grille too. Tested it a few ways to see if they would come off. They seem solid but time will only tell.

Quality is fairly good, but the click option is simply not strong or secure enough

The 2 end versions in particular are difficult to secure – even the other 5 don’t seem to be too secure

I have added double sided tape to them for added strength and security – this should come with them

LOVE the look and not too hard to install, expect for the far left bottom left side. It’s recommended you remove the grill piece, but ain’t nobody got time for that. (HT Sweet Brown) That being said, you can pretty easily get a hand behind each to ensure all tabs click, but not so much the far left due to proximity of parts behind it. You really need to get behind it and push against the insert to get a good latch. Otherwise, you can feel the whole piece giving as you press.

Looks really good on 2011 Jeep 4dr. I followed the instructions and took the grill off. ( very easy) Important to make sure all 4 of the clips (plastic tabs) were correctly snapped in. This I can see this not being done correctly. I had some that I had to pay more attention too. After all were installed I put a small drop of super glue on 2 of 4 clips on each vent. This extra step reassured me I would not have any loose pieces. They have been on 3-4 weeks not one problem. 4-5 car washes and no issues. I drove through a “tornado like” storm with winds so hard that it was lifting my hood a half inch stretching the rubber hood latches and they are still on.

After installing them I really like them and the design of the clips is good and easy ..

Ordered previously and got the stick on version and they were easy and great lasted me the life of my jeep. These are the clip in Verizon so I’m unsure of them .
