Total and complete junk. It didn’t even last 3 months, under normal use. We have had a pool for 30 years and expect to buy a new solar every 2-3 years, but this one has lost 1/3 of it’s bubbles (into the filter and floating around in our pool) after less than one summer!
Don’t be fooled by the “10 year warranty”. Save More on Pools has been horrible to deal with, and the only thing the warranty covers is “seams splitting and water logging (between layers)” which has never happened on any of our pool covers. It is always the bubbles that fail first.
So disappointed by this purchase, and the third party seller. DON”T BUY THIS!

Excellent quality. We had a 16 gauge a few years ago and were very satisfied with it. However, we decided to try a cheaper gauge (12) this purchase. Well, we didn’t even keep it for 6 months; flimsy to roll up, the wind lifted it, etc. So we cut our losses and went back to the 16 gauge. Live and learn. This cover rolls up beautifully, Lies perfectly flat on the water surface and we know we won’t get better heat retention elsewhere. The price was good – in fact only a few dollars more than that cheap piece of plastic we put out for recycle.

I wasn’t sure how much difference this cover would make on my 38 x 13, 19,000 gallon pool. I put it on, trimmed it to size and waited 24 hours and checked the temp. Before I installed this cover, the pool temp was 60*, 24 hours later after a sunny day the water had risen 8*!!! The next day it read 72*. We’ve had a few storms roll through, but as long as the cover was on the pool, the temp wouldn’t drop more than 2-3*. It hit a peak of 76* last week and we pulled the cover off to take a dip. I left the cover off for the last week to see what the difference would be and the water temp yesterday was down to 62*. I cut my cover into 3 x 12″ sections to make it more manageable to remove and install. The only problem I’ve had with this was on a very windy day, one section wasn’t completely flat on the water and the wind folded it back. I will be attaching a pvc pipe along the center of each section to roll them up while still on the water. Much better than spending $600 on 3 of the other cover rollers like this. Bottom line, this cover WORKS!!!

This lasted 1year and 3 months then fell apart. Small pieces of plastic were in the pool, the whole cover got real brittle and big chunks started ripping off when it was touched or pulled on. I contacted the seller and sent them photos, but they replied that ” this was not considered delamination and wasn’t a warranty issue” I wanted at least 2 maybe 3 seasons out of it, but got only one year. Oh well.

We have a 30,000 gallon pool that this covers perfectly. Our yard gets sun all day (really, no shade) and this product really works. The temperature in our pool last night (after 5 sunny days in the low 70s) was 86 degrees Fahrenheit. We have never turned on our heater, and there is no need to.

Also helps decrease evaporation. A week after a few days of rain, the water level was still high, so we let the cover off for a day or two and let the evaporation take the water level down again.

I recommend buying a reel to help neatly put on and off the pool.

Great product, money saver.

This cover is NOT 16 Mil — it is much thinner than other similar covers. I have been using covers for the last 3 years. Here in AZ they only last a year or so at most. I contacted Seller several times and even sent pictures and my phone number, but no response. So far it has NOT done a very good job of keeping in the heat, compared to earlier covers. My pool is 100% automated, so I have all the temp/acid/chemistry data to prove the above, compared to others. I would not buy this again.

So for 20$ more, buy the more expensive Grey version, by a different manufacturer, and consider other sellers, as this one is not very customer orientated.

Very cheaply made and don’t expect more than 1 or 2 seasons out of it. And that is sad since rinse off and store the cover out of the sun during the dead of summer and the dead of winter. Definitely thinner than my last 16mm cover which lasted 4 seasons.

So far great, have only had it on 4 days though. Love the fact we can see the pool lights at night, since it is clear. A little concerned about the buoyancy of the cover, water has crept into the center of the pool, thus pulling the edges away from the sides and allowing leaves to get under the cover. Maybe be an adjustment of the output heads on the side of the pool.
