Ok, first of all it’s adequately bright for what you’re getting. Can i see my car in the early morning when I go to work? Yes. Would it scare someone off? Maybe. My big problem with this thing is that you have to literally be underneath it for it to go off. I have it positioned under my carport which is why i needed the detached solar panel. It’s a normal two car driveway with an overhead carport. Unless you are right in the front middle of the driveway this does nothing. I could literally break into both vehicles in the driveway and this thing wouldn’t go off. Also it does not get set off when i drive the vehicles in the driveway. My friend told me that the higher this is setup the longer the sensor can detect movement but that is not possible for me as I need it under the carport. One solution would be that I bought two of these things and put one in the middle of the carport but ugh I wanted to just buy one. I might just have to move this to the backyard and purchase something else..
