Traeger TFB65LZBC Grills Texas Elite 34 Wood Pellet Grill and Smoker (Bronze), with Full Length Grill Cover and Folding Shelf

There was some confusion in the questions. I have the 34″ Texas elite and it fit perfectly and was super easy to install.

Definitely a must-have for anyone who seriously uses their Traeger grill. Fit my TFB65LZB perfectly. There are two existing screws at each end of the grill. Remove them, install the brackets, re-install the screws and snap the shelf into place. Could not be easier. 5 minute install max. Very sturdy (it’s rated to support 30 lbs.) and folds down for storage. As a plus, when it is folded down the cover fits over it as well.

This shelf is only made for the newest version of Traeger smokers. It only comes with the hardware to fit those grills. However, it is the right width for the older Texas model smokers. In order to attach it you have to drill holes in the smoker. I used 1/4″ stainless steel hardware to attach the brackets to my smoker. I took one star off because they should include hardware to fit both models of smoker. Other than the mounting issue it’s okay. It fits under the cover and provides a decent amount of prep space. Worthwhile upgrade to the Traeger.

I enjoy using it and thus far very pleased. The temp is erratic and seems to vary +/- 20 degrees. I am missing the internal shelf, the ones shown at HD and other places have them. It would be nice to have a way to change out the pellets if one wanted to swap to a different type. I have not figured out how to do this easily.

We bought this cover as a Christmas gift for our son’s Traeger grill in Wisconsin. We gave it to him before Christmas so he could put it on before the grill was covered in ice and snow. He LOVES it! It is very well made. Easy to install, fits well and allows the grill to maintain it’s temperature during winter weather. Our son is grilling everyday and found the Traeger grill to be the best he has ever had. Needless to say, we also enjoy the many meals he grills year round on it with the help of this blanket.

The shelf is easy to install and honestly a great investment. It has made smoking quite a bit easier as I can set things down now and not need an extra set of hand. I honestly wish this came as standard with the smoker. My only complain is that I have the blanket to smoke in the cold winter and to raise the shelf it gets caught in the blanket with the door closed. It’s not that big of a deal as you just open the door, but if you’re trying to keep the door closed make sure you put up the tray first!

Originally I was skeptical of this “winter coat” for my Traeger. The other night I did a 10 hour overnight smoke on some Boston butt. Outside temp got down to 3 egrees Fahrenheit. My smoker uses less pallets with the blanket on.

Maintained heat inside of smoker and minimized the pellet usage. It was 31 degrees and windy and as always the Traeger worked awesome and the insulation blanket opened the ability to smoke food all winter long.
