After reading a few negative reviews here and on the Vitamix website I attributed the dislike to mostly being minor issues. I decided to purchase it from a different big box retailer as it was thirty dollars cheaper. Anyways, I had no major issues with this product and love it. I had no issues with spillage, leaking or mess. I did tap the bottom of the jar before unscrewing the blade to insure liquids wouldn’t drop everywhere. Not a single drop spilled.
My tip to you when adding ingredients is the put any frozen fruit in last so it’s closest to the blade. I had to stop and shake my jar a few times to get the fruit (that I added first) to the blade.

Pros:
Perfect size for 1 serving

Fits under cabinets
Can blend and drink from the same jar

Cons:
Jar is very thick so it looks large but it’s small inside
You have to align the adapter perfectly, not an issue for me but maybe to someone else.

Overall, this is the perfect thing for me. I use to make a smoothie every morning for my husband and I but lately he hasn’t been eating breakfast and I don’t want to dirty the jar for just myself. This allows me to blend and drink from the same jar making clean up much easier.

Oh em gee!! I was so leary about buying this. According to the reviews, people either love it or hate it, and there is no in-between, so I was nervous. I use my Vitamix numerous times a day. I make soups, smoothies, dressings, nut milk, nut butter, chop vegetables, grate cheese, make my own wheat/oat/rice/garbanzo/millet/etc. flour. I’ve wanted one of the new personal models since they came out, but after buying the actual Vitamix, and then buying a dry container, I really could not justify spending yet 400 dollars more.

Like I said, I use the big Vitamix every day, sometimes several times a day. I wanted a smaller size so that I could make salad dressing and nut butters in more reasonable sizes. In order to use the big container for those things, you have to make quite a bit more than is reasonable for one person to consume before it goes bad. I wanted something that would easily make 1/4 cup of cashew butter for a sauce, instead of having to make two cups, which I would then be tempted to sit and eat with a spoon! I wanted to make 1/2 cup of salad dressing at a time, instead of four. This fits the bill perfectly.

It’s easy to put together and use, especially after you practice a few times. Just like with the regular blender, it obliterates greens and makes quick work of frozen ingredients. As you can see from my picture, there’s not even the tiniest speck of a leaf left in my smoothie (spinach and kale in this one). And speaking of smoothies, this is a wonderful tool for portion control. When making a smoothie in the big container, it’s so easy for me to just keep dumping things in. A bit of this. A bit of that. Ohhh this sounds good; let’s add it. Then suddenly my healthy smoothie is 456674342135 calories, and I can’t eat anything else for the next month. Conversely, the smoothie pictured in this cup is 125 calories. It was chock full of good stuff, immensely satisfying (and while it looks like swamp water, it tastes like a piña colada), and I still get to have dinner this evening!

The TL;DR version is: this is fantastic. You won’t be disappointed.

I ordered mine direct from Vitamix. I wanted to love this. I was so excited that I pre-ordered it with a code from the Blender Lady. Its well made, but the problem is the design. You have to put the blender up onto the blade assembly which is enclosed in the plastic cup. The cup is designed with holes at the bottom. I will attach photos. I put in the ingredients to make up a salad dressing and then I blended it. It worked fine. I took it apart to taste. It needed some more spices to correct the flavor. When you go to screw on the cup again, there are drips that go into the holes. Some of the residue on the rubber ring leaks into the holes. When you pick it up to carry it to the blender, it makes a mess. The drips get on the counter, the floor, and blender. There is not a way to prevent that unless you put a towel under it. The holes are part of Vitamix’s design. Its a flaw. I love my Vitamix and I am not deliberately complaining to make up stuff. This blender cup needs to be redesigned. Its really hard to clean due to the size of it. It didn’t come with a scrub brush to fit into the tiny space. The rings were hard to clean. I had to rely on a tooth brush and a spray of water to clean it. The holes in the bottom of the container were too small to clean with a toothbrush. Maybe a pipe cleaner would work for that section. For the price I expected it to run like a dream. I might return it.

I am happy with this accessory for my Vitamix 750. I’ve used it over the last couple months mostly for smoothies.

Pros:
– blends single servings better than my full-sized, wide base container
– easy clean up (cup is dishwasher safe)
– I like the convenience of the blending container doubling as the cup
– top is secure

Cons:
– LOUD, very loud- much more than the normal blending container. I cover my ears or walk out of the room every time I use this accessory.
– while it’s only happened once, the rubber gasket that seals the cup to the blending base has not sealed correctly after screwing the two pieces together and liquid came out the side when turned upside down on the blending base. I now keep a closer eye on it when I screw them together and haven’t had any more problems.

Amazing addon to your vitamix. Well worth the investment. Makes smoothies and juicing easy and convenient to prepare and clean. No messy transfers and eliminates a second
